Music to our ears! Elementary, middle school students excel at all-county festival

This past weekend all four elementary schools and our two middle schools had students perform in the OCMEA Elementary All-County Music Festival at Twin Towers Middle School.  Pine Bush had 29 students participate in the festival in band and chorus. An extra special honor was having three students from our district selected to do solos in the chorus concert – Courtney Flynn (Crispell), Joseph Andre (CVMS), and Rhianna Evans (PAK).

A group of more than 20 elementary and middle school students sitting and standing in a gym.

A big shout-out to Pakanasink music teacher Mary Sousa who was the chairperson for the chorus this year and took on many tasks to ensure a wonderful experience for all the chorus students involved.

Four middle school age students stand together holding instruments. Three girls and one boy on the right. He is holding a large tuba while the others have flutes and clarinets.
