It was a festive night at North Rockland Wednesday, May 7, as the Mid-Hudson School Study Council presented its awards of excellence.
Pine Bush Interim Superintendent of Schools Amy Brockner received an Excellence in Educational Leadership award; district volunteer Raven Atria received an Excellence Award for Community Service; and Lisa Quick, a fourth-grade teacher at Circleville Elementary School received an Excellence Award in Teaching. Ms. Quick was not able to attend.
Colleagues were in attendance to honor our recipients, including some who nominated our award winners. EJR assistant principal Joe Prestianni, Interim Assistant Superintendent for Instruction Terrilyn Cohn and Pine Bush High School social worker and food pantry manager Katie Carson-Decker all wrote nominations for the award winners.
A great time was had by all honoring our award recipients! Congratulations to Amy Brockner, Lisa Quick and Raven Atria. Your contributions to our district are a big part of what makes it such a special place. You make us #PineBushProud
