Chris Poulos, a world champion athlete, youth motivational speaker, and aspiring author came by Circleville Elementary School to share powerful life lessons as he mixed in some amazing bicycle stunts. His main message was about respect – for yourself and others.

Poulos grabbed the students’ attention with his skill on the bike, and then talked to them about treating people even better than you would want to be treated. He encouraged the students to say thank you everyday to the people who help them, including teachers and parents. He talked about the importance of looking someone in the eye when they speak to them. Say excuse me when appropriate. Apologize when you’ve done something to offend anyone. It all builds character.

He was encouraging – telling the students to apply themselves to the fullest each day, whether it is in art, reading, riding a bike or playing on a team. You owe yourself your very best!

Of course, he also walked the walk. He showed his skills on his bike, which takes a tremendous amount of practice and dedication. His riding – and his presentation – were spectacular! Have a quick look!
