Celebrating the Year of the Rabbit

Students in Molly Terpening’s first grade class at PBE are making lanterns to celebrate Chinese New Year, which began on Sunday, Jan. 22.

Two first grade students, one with very short hair wearing a blue shirt and the other with dark hair wearing a black tshirt, put pink blossoms on a painting using their thumbs dipped in pink paint.

It’s the Year of the Rabbit! Those born under this sign are said to have quiet personalities; they are strong and confident, with good reasoning skills and attention to detail. They make great scholars!

Three first-grade boys work at a table with a woman. They are making paintings of cherry blossoms.

A first-grade boy, with a very short haircut, wearing a long-sleeve blue shirt, uses his thumb to put pink blossoms on a painting of twigs.
