Art was the star at the district-wide art show, held last week at Pine Bush High School. Students displayed their incredible works, from painting to sculpture to pottery and more. And they had so much fun.

All elementary schools displayed their works in the cafeteria. Students came in enthusiastically looking for their artwork and that of their classmates. They eagerly searched the walls to show their family members. They loved seeing their art teachers too!
Beautiful middle school and high school art lined the hallways and walls of the high school.

The Pine Bush High School National Art Honor Society members provided face painting, button making, pot holder weaving, bracelet making and other fun, art-related activities for the kids. Students even had the chance to make their own little pieces of art that will be displayed in the Free Little Art Gallery in downtown Pine Bush where people are encouraged to take art and leave a new one.

Gift baskets were donated for a raffle, that raised more than $1,300, which will go to support the art program and the Pine Bush Food Pantry.

“We thank everyone for their continued support of the art program here at PB and the Pine Bush Food Pantry,” said Diane Trad, art department chairperson.
The National Art Honor Society students, advised by Janice Barth, ran the activities, doing an incredible job! They had many happy community members!

A big thank you to Ms. Trad and all of our talented and encouraging art teachers for sharing their love of art with our students.
