On October 15th, the Pine Bush High School’s Skilled Trades and STARS Academy students welcomed Staff Sergeant Ellis of the United States Marine Corps for a discussion about career opportunities and pathways after graduation.

Students had the opportunity to ask questions about military pay, specific jobs within the Marine Corps, and the steps involved in pursuing enlistment. The conversation also helped students understand what they can do while still in high school to prepare for that path.

Visits like this connect students with professionals, broaden their awareness of future opportunities, and encourage thoughtful questions as they begin planning for life after high school. Thank you to Staff Sergeant Ellis for sharing his time and knowledge with our students!
