The CVMS school community proudly honored Tara Klink at the Mid-Hudson School Study Council Awards Ceremony in Thiells on Wednesday night. Ms. Klink received the Teacher Excellence Award in recognition of her outstanding 30 years of service as a special education teacher at CVMS.

Throughout her career, Ms. Klink has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to supporting students, mentoring colleagues, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
“Known for her compassion, professionalism, and dedication, Tara has impacted countless students by ensuring they received the individualized support, accommodations, and encouragement needed to succeed both academically and personally,” said CVMS Principal Lisa Hankinson.
In addition to her work in the classroom, she served as a mentor to new teachers, a member of multiple leadership committees, a union representative, and an organizer of the CVMS Student Scholarship fundraisers that benefits graduating seniors at PBHS.

Colleagues praise Tara not only for her expertise in special education, but also for her willingness to support others and strengthen the school community. Her leadership, patience, and advocacy have left a lasting influence on students, staff, and families alike.
“Tara has left an indelible mark on our school community through her compassion, leadership, and unwavering dedication to students and staff,” said Ms. Hankinson. “For 30 years, she has exemplified what it means to be an outstanding educator and advocate for children. We are incredibly grateful for all she has given to our CVMS community, and we wish her nothing but health, happiness and success in her well-deserved retirement with her beautiful family and countless friends.”
