Students run all aspects of the PBHS student store

Everyone in Nora Callahan’s retail management classes, as well as members of the Finance Academy, contributes to the running of the school store. Ms. Callahan, along with Kelly Wohlgemuth and Emma Angel Caceres, oversees the students and guides them as they learn how to run a business. There are managers, designers, students in charge of accounting and marketing, and, of course, those who do the day-to-day operations in the store itself.

High school kids working in the school store. One is using a press to make tshirts and two others are laying out the newly made shirts.

The store has become a hub of activity – designing and making Pine Bush gear for groups and activities throughout the school and district. The store has a new design for the Pine Bush High School shirts – very eye-catching! And they continue to make the PBTA shirts worn by our awesome faculty.

A high school kid folds and sorts through a large stack of navy blue tshirts with gold writing.

Recently, they were completing the Morgan’s Message shirts for our soccer team, and they produce specialty, limited availability items including the Dia de los Muertas shirt (order by Oct. 8!).

Two high school girls fold shirts and iron ons for tshirts.

These talented kids are truly running the store, in the very best way! Stop by upstairs at PBHS or take a look at their offerings online.
