Ninety new members inducted into Pine Bush High School National Honor Society

Pine Bush High School inducted 90 new members into the National Honor Society, Thursday, Oct. 30. The students were honored for their academic achievements as well as their character, leadership and service.

The criteria for students to be invited for membership in National Honor Society are:

  • achieve a cumulative average of at least 90 percent
  • complete 10 or more hours of community service
  • demonstrate excellence in leadership and character.

In addition to the students being inducted, Kelly Issa, a math teacher at Pine Bush High School, received an honorary membership.

Dr. Michael Raucci also made a presentation of those students who are part of the Science National Honor Society. Those students appear below with an asterisk * next to their names.

The new inductees took the honor society pledge:

I pledge to uphold the high purposes of the National Honor Society to which I have been selected;

I will be true to the principles for which it stands;

I will be loyal to my school;

And will maintain and encourage high standards of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
