Firefighters Share Safety Tips with CES and PAK Students

In honor of National Fire Prevention Week, the Circleville Fire Department paid a special visit to Circleville Elementary and Pakanasink Elementary to provide a fun and  hands-on learning experience for the students. The fire truck was very popular with the students, as they got a closer look at the equipment, firehoses, and protective gear. They even stepped aboard the truck’s ladder!

The fire department also brought their fire safety trailer, which is a small room that emits artificial smoke. The firefighters were teaching the kids to stay low in the event of a fire, as smoke and hot air rises to the top.

It is an incredibly important learning opportunity for our students to receive fire safety lessons directly from the firefighters. We would like to give a huge thank you to the Circleville Fire Department for taking the time to teach our students!
