District in need of personnel as more students return to buildings

Good afternoon Pine Bush Staff and Families,

Today is 4/3/21.  As some of us wind down from Passover, and others get ready for Easter, today is that perfect countdown day!  Regardless of your religious traditions, I hope you all have been able to spend some time with your families this past week.

While most of you have been relaxing and renewing, the district leadership has continued to plan for a successful “return to more learning” slated to begin on April 13, 2021.

Building administrators and their teams, in collaboration with Special Programs, Operations and Maintenance, and Transportation, have been devoting countless hours to logistically configure a safe return for more in- person learning while following all New York State Department of Health COVID-19 guidelines for schools and classrooms.

As we prepare for an increase in physical student enrollment with specific recommended maximum classroom counts and distancing requirements, an increased need for staffing has arisen, more so than any other typical school year.

I am reaching out in hopes that YOU can help US recruit and fill some essential positions needed for our “return to more learning.” Please help us spread the word and direct potential applicants to our Office of Human Resources.

Pine Bush Central School District is in need of a total of 16, certified teaching assistants (four each at all four of our elementary schools), to start April 12, 2021 through June 25, 2021. This is a daily position needed every day Monday through Friday, to work 6 hours per day. These positions will expire after June 25, 2021.

In addition, the district also needs substitute teachers, substitute teaching assistants and school monitors, substitute clerical, and substitute custodians and food service workers across the entire district, to start as soon as possible. These substitute positions could either be long term for several weeks or months in a row, or on a per diem basis when a full-time staff member calls out sick or needs to be out for some other reason.

Lastly, Birnie Bus, our bus company is in need of additional licensed bus drivers to cover various morning and afternoon shifts. They will provide training and there is a signing bonus. These positions are also immediately available.

Pine Bush offers competitive pay rates in line with surrounding school districts. We also offer assistance/guidance with trying to find reasonable and affordable childcare in the local area through our Office of Human Resources.

Please help us get the word out! Interested applicants can contact the Office of Human Resources at 845-744-2031, ext. 3508 or 4024,  and apply online at www.olasjobs.org .

Have a great day!
