  • When school is in session, Continuing Education classes will not be held if Pine Bush schools are closed or after-school activities are cancelled.
  • No transportation is provided for Continuing Education classes.

Youth Programs

NEW! The Pumpkin Run is Back!!

The race is open to boys and girls in the Pine Bush Central School District in grades 3-6. Come test your endurance in a fun run on the trails and fields behind Pine Bush Elementary School.

Race Schedule

  • 10 a.m. – Third grade girls half-mile course
  • 10:15 a.m.- Third grade boys half-mile course
  • 10:30 a.m. – Fourth grade girls one-mile course
  • 10:45 a.m. – Fourth grade boys one-mile course
  • 11 a.m. – Fifth grade girls one-mile course
  • 11:15 a.m. – Fifth grade boys one-mile course
  • 11:30 a.m. – Sixth grade girls one-mile course
  • 11:45 am: 6 th grade boys 1-mile course

Arrive about 20 mins. before your race to check in and warm up with the varsity cross country team members. There will be certificates and ribbons for all participants. T-shirts for the top male and female runners in each age group will be awarded. Hosted by Coach Lawrence and the Pine Bush Cross Country Teams

Introduction to Boys and Girls Lacrosse

Grades 1-6

Instructor: John Pastormerlo

This class is for students interested in lacrosse who have never played lacrosse and want to try this exciting, fast-paced sport. Classes will teach lacrosse fundamentals and teamwork in a fun, relaxed environment. No equipment required! We will supply each registered player with a lacrosse stick that is theirs to keep. (8 weeks)

    Unique theme-focused and STEM-based fun Lego activities each week. Calling all LEGO enthusiasts to join us for our super-engaging six-week LEGO Tinker Club. We INSPIRE curious minds to build engineering models; we help you MODEL your idea; we ENABLE you to have an enriching experience; we ENCOURAGE you to practice Lego building and team working skills; we CHALLENGE you to use your knowledge, cognitive, and technical skills while creating and playing with fun LEGO models!

    S.T.E.M. and Robotics Club

    STEM concepts and creativity are combined together in this action-packed program where kids learn real-life skills while having real-kid FUN! Kids will be engaged in project-based learning using STEM activities and DASH & DOT Robots that are smart enough to respond to voices and sounds and can be programmed to sing and dance. Kids will be encouraged to design, build, and program their creations, embedding creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication! (6 weeks)

    Open gym indoor soccer. Have fun while improving your skills and touch on the ball. Sneakers and shin guards are necessary. T-shirts included.

    Introduction to Rugby (Flag/Touch)

    Grades 1-12

    Instructor: Michelle Houston

    Flag and touch rugby is a safe and accessible sport that emphasizes teamwork, fitness and coordination. The format is non-contact, making it an excellent introduction to the sport while promoting physical activity and sportsmanship among students of all athletic backgrounds. No experience necessary.

    Family Swim

    If you want to help your children practice their swimming skills or your family needs some bonding time, a family swim ia great way to spend an evening.

    Whether you are new to yoga or an experienced practitioner, you will leave this class with a better-feeling body and quieter mind. You will learn deep, effective stretches (with modifications for all levels) and breathing practices that deeply relax body and mind. Bring a mat and blanket.

    5-Hour Pre-Licensing Course

    The NYS Department of Motor Vehicles mandates this course for all NYS permit holders. Students must pre-register and include a copy of their photo learner’s permit with registration. Upon course completion, the MV-278 certificate will be mailed to the address on the permit. This certificate is required to schedule a road test appointment.  This course is a two-day class.

    Defensive Driving Course

    Latin Dancing

    For Beginners

    Do you enjoy dancing?  Come join us in learning the exotic dancing of Salsa, Merengue, and Bachata. Learn these fascinating dances and allow yourself to express yourself through your movement. Partner or not, Latin dancing is a great activity to learn at any age, so put on your dancing shoes and come shake your hips.

      Stability Ball Workout

      This class is customized to help you improve overall flexibility, core strength, posture, balance, and coordination with the stability ball. Incorporating the hand weights into our routine, we develop strength, tone, and muscle. A stability ball workout will make things more interesting and effective by engaging different muscles. Equipment needed for this class: an inflated 65 cm stability ball, hand weights, and a mat.

      Intermediate Pickleball – New Location

      Come out for a fun night of pickleball! Players should demonstrate a basic knowledge of the game, including rules, scoring, and possess the ability to serve/return balls consistently. Players will learn the fundamentals of dinking and third-shot drops.
