Ahoy Matey! CES book fair is a treasure trove of great reads

Literacy is a main focus this year in Pine Bush schools. Book fairs help that cause and help spread the message. Circleville Elementary School PTA is hosting its fall book fair through Thursday, Sept. 18, with a pirate theme!

Two boys sit on the floor looking at a book.

Students from all classes had the opportunity to shop the book fair. Classics, favorite authors and characters, new series, holiday themed books, joke books – they were all there! There was also a free book table available. The students love choosing their very own books!

An elementary students smiles and holds up a book.

To add to the excitement, each student got to choose a gift from the treasure chest and they had the opportunity to enter the drawing for a pirate treasure excavation kit by guessing the number of lifesavers in the bowl.

Four elementary age girls show the books they bought. They are smiling.

What a great way to promote literacy and encourage reading in our students!
