Jennifer Laubach and Jess Fobert’s second graders at PBE had a very special Valentines celebration, all about them!

A couple of weeks ago, Ms. Laubach sent a request home to each family to please write a favorite memory about their child and send it in with a baby picture. Ms. Laubach had a large red heart for each of the students. She put the picture on the front and the handwritten memory inside. The students went around the class trying to guess which baby picture matched which of their classmates.

They had so much fun walking around the classroom looking at their classmates, writing their guesses on their answer sheets.

Finally, Ms. Lauback gathered all the hearts and the students sat down to watch the photos and memories on the screen as she read the memories. There was laughter learning that one classmate used to hide cookies in his diaper for later and another used his magic markers to decorate the house, and sweet sighs knowing that one classmate was the angel baby her parents had always hoped for.

What sweet memories for these students and so much fun matching pictures to these grown-up second-grade faces!
