Pine Bush High School junior Fiona Varley has received the Dwight D. Eisenhower Leadership Award from the Parents Club of West Point.

Each year, the Parents Club of West Point recognizes the nation’s outstanding high school juniors who have demonstrated exceptional performance in academics, athletics, community service, leadership, and good citizenship, and who promote the values of national service as exemplified by Dwight D. Eisenhower.
Fiona was nominated by her counselor, Brianna Lagarde.
“Fiona is an exceptional student-athlete whose commitment to excellence extends far beyond the lacrosse field,” said Ms. Lagarde. “Having verbally committed to continue her education and play Division I lacrosse at Le Moyne College, she consistently challenges herself with AP and college-level coursework while demonstrating remarkable resilience, determination, and selflessness. Fiona’s drive to push beyond her limits and her willingness to support those around her make her a truly outstanding role model.”
Fiona has an overall GPA of 95 and is interested in pursuing a career in physical therapy. She plays on the varsity lacrosse team as well as a travel team.
Congratulations to Fiona on earning this prestigious award and exemplifying the values that come with it.
