Two Pine Bush High School juniors Luke Beers and Conor Kilgore – were among the students honored by Orange-Ulster BOCES at its Humanities Honoree Awards Ceremony and Breakfast.

The students who were honored have distinguished themselves in the arts and humanities. This event celebrates juniors and seniors who have stood out amongst their peers by showing an impressive dedication, skill, and commitment to the arts and humanities.
Luke Beers
Luke is a multifaceted artist who excels in the areas of music and theater. He has been involved in all aspects of the Pine Bush Music Department since third grade. He is a member of the select choir, wind ensemble and jazz band. In addition to music and theater activities at PBHS, Like has auditioned for and was accepted to All-County Band and Choir, Area All-State Choir, and All-State Ensembles. Luke also plays the guitar and the euphonium and he is currently studying for this AP music theory exam. Luke has performed NYSSMA level 6 and has received all-state scores of 100. After high school, he plans to pursue a degree in chemical engineering.

Conor Kilgore
Conor is an amazing and talented artist who goes out of his way to lend a hand to his peers and teachers. Conor is known for always putting his best effort into anything he does. During his time at PBHS, Conor has taken media arts 1 and 2, college-level digital photography, animation and has also participated in the Fine Arts Summer Academy. He is a member of the National Art Honor Society and the National Honor Society. His artwork has been showcased at district art shows as well as in SUNY Orange’s “An Artist’s Response to Human Rights” exhibition. After high school, Conor plans to attend college to pursue a degree in graphic design or the arts.
