EJR is all-in on the Kids Heart Challenge

February is Heart Health Month and EJR is going all-in on the Kids Heart Challenge!

Coaches Chris Curnan and Barbara Hostetter have been teaching their students about the importance of staying heart healthy by eating right and being active. Jumping rope, running, jumping, bouncing on their hippity hop balls are all activities to help keep their hearts healthy.

This week, each grade had the opportunity to put it all together. Here, kindergarten students jumped rope, played balloon volleyball, ran the obstacle course, hopped to skip-it, did broad jump and long jump and had a ball on their hippity hops!

Their Principal Joe Prestianni and Assistant Principal Aly Callahan joined in as did some special guests from central office. Superintendent Joe Lenz and assistant superintendents Rachel Adelstein and Brian Weir took part in some activities with the kindergarten students.

The Kids Heart Challenge is also a fundraiser. EJR has been marking heart month each year by participating in the Kids Heart Challenge. The students gather donations to the American Heart Association all while learning about heart-healthy activities.

Great job! Great fun!
