Eighth-grade students get a look at all the Haas Innovation Center has to offer at PBHS

Our eighth-grade students have so much to look forward to! As they finish their final year in middle school, they are beginning to look forward to all our high school has to offer.

A large group of middle schools students sit and listen as a man in a black shirt leans on a railing talking to them.

Our Crispell eighth-graders recently toured the Haas Innovation Center, a state-of-the-art technology center at Pine Bush High School that offers classes in drafting and CAD (computer-aided design), small engine mechanics, a woods lab, 3D printing, laser cutting and more.

A teacher stands behind a woodworking table talking to middle school kids.

The students received an overview of the offerings within the Haas Center. Then they visited each of the classrooms to learn about the classes and programs. They learned of the drafting and CAD classes, the Polaris University that teaches about small engines, the Haas Mill with presentations on the waterjet, the woods lab and finally the art and fabrication activities, including 3D printing and laser cutting.

A man holds up a bench the class made. He is showing a group of middle school kids.

They also learned about the summer Manufacturing and STEAM academies.
It was very informative for all and certainly gave the students so much to look forward to as they have their eyes on high school.
