Special Programs Transitions to Frontline Education Collaboration Portal

The Special Programs Department has transitioned to a secure, paperless process for all documents. This transition is part of our commitment to improving the security and efficiency of communication across all of our services, including Section 504 plans and special education.

Effective Tuesday, September 1st, if you have a student with an IEP or Section 504 Plan, the Special Programs department will no longer be sending documents via U.S. mail. Now, all official documents that require review or signature will be delivered exclusively through the Frontline Education Collaboration Portal. This includes all invitations to CSE and 504 meetings.

What this means for you:
Moving forward, any Special Programs documents related to your child will be delivered electronically. This means that all documents previously sent by mail will now only be available on the portal.

Notification: You will receive an email from Frontline Education when a document is ready for your review and electronic signature.

1. Access: Click the blue “Open” button in the email.
2. Security Code: Enter your secure Access Code: first 3 letters of your child’s
last name (in ALL CAPS) + date of birth (MMDDYYYY).
3. Action: Review the document, sign electronically (on the appropriate line), and submit. You may also download and print a copy for your records at any time.

How this helps you:
Faster: No more waiting for mail or in-person meetings just to sign forms.
Secure: Meets all privacy regulations (FERPA, state law).
Convenient: Works on computers, tablets, or smartphones — no special software is needed.

Need help?
We want this transition to be smooth for everyone.

A short video tutorial is also available the first time you open a document on the portal.

Our intention is to be 100% paperless. However, if you don’t have an email address available to access the Collaboration Portal, you must contact our office at 845-744-2031 ext. 4800. Upon your specific request and verification that an email address cannot be provided, we may make an exception and continue to send paper documents for specified exceptions.

Please be sure to check your spam and/or junk email folders for correspondence from the Special Programs Collaboration Portal. Emails from the portal may occasionally be filtered into these folders rather than appearing in your regular inbox. If you locate an email from the Special Programs Collaboration Portal in your spam or junk folder, please mark it as “Not Spam” or “Not Junk” so that future correspondence is delivered to your inbox.

Thank you for working with us to improve communication and expedite services for your child.
