Six Odyssey teams head to the states

Odyssey of the Mind teams from five different schools in the Pine Bush Seven members of the Crispell Middle School Odyssey of the Mind team smile near one of their props.District took first place Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the Region 5 Odyssey championships, held at Orange/Ulster BOCES in Goshen.

Pine Bush High School teams took first place in the categories Triathlon Travels and A Stellar Hangout, Division III.

Crispell Middle School took first in Animal House, Division II.

Seven members of the Pakanasink Odyssey of the Mind team, dressed in their royal blue shirts, hold their certificates and medals after winning the regional competition. Their coach holds the trophy up.Pakanasink Elementary took first place in Classics…Mockumentary! Seriously?; EJ Russell took first in Animal House; and Pine Bush Elementary was first in A Stellar Hangout, all Division I.

The teams worked very hard leading up to the competition, where 71 teams from 13 school districts in Orange and Dutchess counties competed.

These winners will move on to the state tournament on April 7 in Binghamton.
