The Orange County Human Rights Commission, in conjunction with SUNY Orange and the Orange County Arts Council launched its annual visual and literary art exhibit: “An Artist’s Response to Human Rights,” for Orange County high school juniors and seniors.

Every year, the exhibition displays over 200 pieces of artwork by Orange County students, illustrating one of the Articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, as adopted by the United Nations on December 10, 1948. It provides a unique opportunity for students to express themselves on the importance of human rights in today’s world. Art was on display in December at Orange Hall Gallery, SUNY Orange Middletown. A reception was held on Dec. 15.

Congratulations to our high school students whose works were selected for this important show.
