PBE Students Create American Flags for Anniversary of September 11th

Last Friday marked the 25th anniversary of September 11th. The anniversary serves as a reminder to never forget that day and the significant impact it had on the world. Some may remember where they were during that day. But for our current students, it is a history lesson.

Our second graders from Ms. Green’s class at Pine Bush Elementary began their school year with a lesson on what it means to be a citizen. They learned about the significance of the Pledge of Allegiance and ways they can be a proud member of their community. This eventually led to a discussion of the events of September 11th. As a way to honor all who have been affected, the students handcrafted their own American flags.

Even as the years pass, it remains vital to teach our young students the importance of remembering and honoring that day.
