Pine Bush High School Full-Year Enrichment Academies

Polaris  University

Polaris is a motorsports company with a wide variety of on and off road vehicles. Their vision is to fuel the passion of riders, workers and outdoor enthusiasts around the world by delivering innovative, high-quality vehicles, products, services and experiences that enrich their lives. Now Polaris is partnered with Pine Bush High School to offer students a career ready path after high school through University of Polaris at Pine Bush.  Interested students can participate in an afterschool club that will allow the self-motivated individual to earn master service dealership certifications. These certifications give you the opportunity to work for Polaris as a service technician.   A large part of the course work are online computer classes. After completing certain levels of the course (bronze) work you begin a mixture of online and hands on learning actually working on Polaris vehicles to earn silver certification.

 

STEAM Engineering

STEAM Engineering course promotes the exploration of engineering careers through field observation and hands-on project based learning. Students focus on computer programs of AutoCAD and Fusion 360 to design and build unique projects utilizing rapid prototyping technology, laser cutting machines, HAAS CNC mill and lathe, and Industrial Waterjet. Students will attend fieldwork during class time or may be asked to attend after school. Engineering 101 through SUNY Orange Credit Available. Students earn Industry credentials in CNC operator (Mill and Lathe).
