New, delicious offerings for breakfast and lunch – and grab-and-go breakfast starts this week

Not only are breakfast and lunch free to all students at all schools here in Pine Bush, there are some new offerings available as well as grab and go breakfast carts coming to all elementary and middle schools!

That’s right, students in our elementary and middle schools won’t have to go to the cafeteria for breakfast soon. According to our School Nutrition Director Caitlin Lazarski, grab and go carts will be centrally stationed at Circleville, Pakanasink, Pine Bush and EJ Russell Elementary Schools as well as Circleville and Crispell Middle Schools by Dec. 8. Students can just take a breakfast of the day and head to their classrooms.

New breakfast offerings include whole grain banana bread, muffins, and turkey sausage and pancake on a stick.

Elementary lunches now include Boar’s Head  cold cuts on whole grain bread and yogurt parfaits. With a different hot lunch daily, children have options like baked chicken nuggets, homemade mac and cheese, turkey tacos, grilled cheese and fresh pizza. Kids will always have alternate options like PB&J, turkey sandwiches, hummus kits and pizza kits.

All lunches come with fresh fruit, veggie bar, 100 percent fruit juice and milk.

Have a look at the December menu and encourage your children to partake. All meals are free! And lunch is one less thing for busy parents to do!
