NAMI Orange offering free virtual mental health presentations Nov. 12 and 19

In these challenging times, National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) ORANGE is offering families a free, virtual presentation of NAMI Ending the Silence for Families.

There will be two presentations:  Nov. 12 and Nov. 19, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

NAMI Ending the Silence for Families is a one-hour presentation for parents and primary caregivers that includes information about mental illness including warning signs, facts and statistics, how to talk with your child and how to work with school staff.

The presentation will be given by one of the group’s lead presenters and a young adult presenter. The lead presenter will cover information on mental health provided by NAMI National, while the young adult presenter will touch on some of his real life experiences with mental health.

After the presentation, there will be a question and answer period.

If parents would like to attend one of the virtual presentations, email namiorangeny@warwick.net to register, noting the desired date, either Nov. 12 or 19. Once registered, a Zoom link for the presentation will be sent to the attendee, via their email.
