Pine Bush High School has initiated a new award – The PB Pride Award! Each month, Assistant Principal Dan Wargo will accept good news referrals and faculty shoutouts for students and staff members. They are gathered and read by administrators who then choose one student and one staff member to receive the PB Pride Award.

The inaugural winners are: student Michael Thompson and teacher Christina Tudisco.
Janice Barth announced Michael Thompson as the student award winner. “Our students are doing amazing things,” said Ms. Barth, as she talked about the enthusiasm Michael has for all of his various endeavors, including his art, swimming and running. “Michael is Pine Bush.”
“You certainly bring your pride,” said Mr. Wargo, noting that Michael was chosen as homecoming king. “We are very proud of you.”
Michael was so happy to receive the award – his smile said it all! He raised his hands over his head in the shape of a heart and left saying “Let’s go Pine Bush!”

Mr. Wargo read some of the comments made about Ms. Tudisco that he received from her fellow teachers, all noting her dedication to her students in the classroom and with her Interact Club.
“I just want to be there every day for my kids,” said Ms. Tudisco. “This means so much to me.”
“Thank you both for the positivity and pride you bring to our school community each day!” Mr. Wargo added.

The PB Pride Award recognizes one student and one staff member each month who exemplify a positive attitude, support their peers and colleagues, and help create a welcoming, uplifting environment at PBHS. Both receive PBHS T-shirts, made by our awesome PBHS School Store, and certificates. They also get to wear a huge PB pendant and chain, which will be passed on to future honorees, made by our talented staff in the Haas Center.
Congratulations to Michael Thompson and Christina Tudisco, our January PB Pride Award winners! You both make us #PineBushProud!
