Ella Galloway is the NY State champion pole vaulter

Pine Bush High School’s Ella Galloway is the 2023 New York State champion pole vaulter! The very best in the entire state!

This past weekend Ella vaulted her personal best – 12 feet 6 inches – becoming the state champion! She is ranked 42nd in the entire nation.

Madison Williams took second place at the state competition in both triple jump and long jump, performing her personal best jumps with the pressure on. She long jumped 18-9 and triple jumped 38-10.75, making her the state runner-up in both events. Quite an accomplishment. She is ranked 43rd in the nation for triple jump.

Shaylen Goslar ran for two personal records this weekend: 2:58.88 in the 1000m run, ranking her at 61st in the country, and 1:38.30 in the 600m.
