Hispanic Heritage Month is observed annually between September 15 and October 15. It is a time to honor and celebrate the many significant cultural and historical contributions by our Hispanic community.
Recently, our Culture and Cuisine Club held a potluck that featured food representing several Hispanic countries. Students brought their own meals to the table, including tres leches cake, tamales verdes, tostones, and Spanish rice. They learned about the cultural significance of the food and the rich traditions it carries.
The occasion was a reminder of the power food has to bring people together and learn from one another. We certainly can’t wait to see what else is on the menu this year!
