Crispell is getting stronger thanks to Dick’s Sporting Goods

A big thank you to Dick’s Sporting Goods, which donated a truckload – literally – of equipment to Crispell Middle School.

“One of our parents works for Dick’s and mentioned that they donate equipment to local schools,” said Crispell Principal John Boyle. “So we got permission and applied.”

Boxes of gym equipment piled high, with a bench out of the box on top.

Mr. Boyle and Crispell physical education teacher Kim Craft took the district box truck over to the Middletown Dick’s store. They didn’t know what to expect.

“They just kept bringing stuff out,” said Mr. Boyle.

“They filled the box truck!” said Ms. Craft.

Kettlebells and dumbbells of all different weights, flat weight benches, adjustable height decks, and a NordicTrack bike were piled into the truck.

Many kettlebells, black with silver metal handles on a shelf.

The equipment will be put to use by the phys ed department, adding another dimension to its curriculum.

Mr. Boyle and Ms. Craft, as well as the Pine Bush Board of Education, are incredibly grateful for this generous donation.
