About Circleville Elementary

Circleville Elementary School (CES) is located in Circleville, N.Y., and serves just under 500 students in universal pre-Kindergarten through grade 5.  We offer several programs for students with disabilities including:

  • Integrated Co-Teaching (ICT) Grades 1-5
  • Self-Contained, Actively Building Language Environment (ABLE) Program- Grades K-3, 8:1:2
  • Self-Contained Programs – Grades K-5, 8:1:2

All of our classroom teachers teach literacy, mathematics, social studies and science concepts which correlate to the NYS Learning Standards. In addition, our teachers teach and support social-emotional learning (SEL) concepts.  All of our students participate in physical education, art, music and library-media classes during the school day.  Our teachers are supported by instructional coaches in the areas of literacy, math, science and technology.

Throughout the school year we offer after-school opportunities for K-5 students in art, STEAM, Odyssey of the Mind and ENL.  Continuing education classes and after-school clubs not affiliated with the district are also available.

Our PTA is very active!  They are an integral part of the CES community organizing picture day, Scholastic book fairs, spirit wear sales, the yearbook and multiple holiday celebrations.  Additionally, they support school field trips, our 5th grade picnic and moving up day, teacher/bus driver/school custodian appreciation days, teacher mini grants and more.

CES has many staff teams which work to directly monitor and support our mission statement and the district goals, including:

  • Building and District Leadership teams – BLT and DLT
  • Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports – PBIS
  • No Place for Hate – NPfH
  • Health and Safety Team
  • DataWise Team
  • Personalized Learning Team
  • Grade Level Chairs – GLCs
  • Team Leaders
  • Main Office Staff
