Recommend the Board of Education approve the following consent agenda as submitted by the Superintendent of Schools:

Tonight’s consent agenda includes the appointment of the following new personnel:

  • Rachel Thompson – Teaching Assistant
  • Lisa Canino – Permanent Itinerant Substitute Teacher
  • Tisha Foddrill – Teaching Assistant

 

Abolish

Board authorization to abolish the following position:

  • (1) One 1.0 FTE Guidance Assistant -10 month effective December 2, 2021.

 

Creations

Board authorization for creation of the following positions

Non-Instructional

  • (1) One Full-time, 10 month, 1.0 FTE Cook Manager position, effective November 24, 2021, salary as per contract.
  • (1) One 1.0 FTE School Secretary- 12 month effective November 24, 2021, salary as per contract.
  • (1) One 6.5 Hour/Day Teacher Aide position, effective November 29, 2021, salary as per contract.
    ( current need at Crispell Middle School )

  • Elizabeth Gordon, resignation, for the purpose of retirement, from her position as a 7.0 hours/day Cook effective at the close of business November 30, 2021.
    Kimberly Jones, resignation from her position as a 1.00 FTE Typist-12 Month, effective at the close of business November 22, 2021.
  • Maria Rivas, resignation from her position as a 3.5 hour/day School Monitor, effective at the close of business November 26, 2021.

 

Leave of Absence

Instructional

  • Erin Crispell, an unpaid leave of absence from her position as a 1.00 FTE Teacher-Special Education effective 01/18/2022 through 05/27/2022.
  • Patricia Paoli, a request to extend an unpaid leave of absence from her position as a 6.75 hours/day School Monitor effective October 20, 2021 through June 24, 2022.
  • Martha Telefus-Gillespie a request to extend an unpaid leave of absence from her position as a 7 hours/day School Monitor effective November 22, 2021 through January 3, 2022.

Instructional

  • Dawn Bedell, who holds a Teaching Assistant Level I renewal certificate, increase in hours in her position as a part-time, non-tenure bearing, (from 4.0 Hour/Day) to 6.0 Hour/Day Teaching Assistant, effective November 15, 2021, salary as per contract (pro-rated).
  • Deana Adams, who holds a Teaching Assistant Level III certificate, increase in hours in her position as a part-time, non-tenure bearing, (from 6.0 Hour/Day) to 6.5 Hour/Day Teaching Assistant, effective November 16, 2021, salary as per contract (pro-rated).
  • Rachel Thompson, who holds a Teaching Assistant Level III certificate, be appointed to a probationary part-time, non-tenure bearing, 6.5 Hour/Day Teaching Assistant effective November 29, 2021, salary as per contract (pro-rated).
  • Tisha Foddrill, who holds a Teaching Assistant Level I certificate, be appointed to a probationary part-time, non-tenure bearing, 5 Hour/Day Teaching Assistant effective November 16, 2021, salary as per contract (pro-rated).

 

Non-Instructional

  • Maria Rivas, probationary appointment to a 6.5 hours/day position of Teacher Aide, effective November 29, 2021, salary as per contract (pro-rated).
  • Michael Reineke temporary appointment as a 7.0 hours/day Lifeguard, effective November 29, 2021 through April 8, 2022, salary at $16/hour, noting he is certified for such appointment through the Orange County Department of Human Resources.

Permanent Itinerant Substitute Teachers

Board of Education approval for the appointment of the following individuals as Permanent Itinerant Substitute Teachers, temporary position through June 24, 2022, at a daily rate of $275 plus benefits, effective date November 24, 2021, or as indicated:
