The Board of Education will be asked to approve the minutes from the special meeting of June 9, 2020 and regular meeting of June 10, 2020 as submitted by the District Clerk.

 

III.    Reports, Recommendations of the Superintendent

1.    Certification of Official Results of the June 9, 2020 Annual District Meeting – Budget Vote & Election of Board Members.

The Board of Education will be asked to acknowledge receipt and acceptance certifying the following official results of the June 9, 2020  Annual District Meeting (Budget Proposition 2020-2021 and Election of  two (2) members to the Board of Education at large (for three-year terms), as submitted.

 

BUDGET PROPOSITION (2020 – 2021 School Year)

RESOLVED, that the proposed Pine Bush Central School District Budget for the 2020-2021 school year in the amount of $ 121,587,157 be approved and the Board of Education of said school district Be authorized to levy the necessary tax therefore.

Recommend the Board of Education approve the following revised Consent Agenda as submitted by the Superintendent of Schools: ON WEBSITE

 

3.    BOARD APPROVAL OF INTERIM SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS

Recommend the Board of Education approve the following resolution as submitted:

BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education appoints Michael Pacella as Interim Superintendent during the period of August 7, 2020 through August 9, 2020, and the terms and conditions of Mr. Pacella’s employment shall remain the same.

4.   Approval for Appointment of Superintendent of Schools

Recommend the Board of Education approve the following resolution as submitted:

         BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the Pine Bush Central School District appoints Tim O. Mains as Superintendent of Schools effective August 10, 2020 through June 30, 2024, according to the terms and conditions of a contract, a fully-executed copy of which will be filed with the District Clerk; and further authorizes the School Board President to sign the contract.

5.      Approval CSE/CPSE  Placement Recommendations  

Recommend the Board of Education approve all IEPs of the Committee on Special Education and  the Committee on Preschool Special Education as submitted by the CSE and CPSE Chairpersons and reviewed by Trustee Meier.

 

6.       Special Education Two-Year Plan – 2020-2021 to 2021-2022

Terrilyn Cohn, Director of Special Education will present the two-year plan for 2020-2021 to 2021-2022.

 

7.       Designation / Disposition of Library Books

Recommend the Board of Education designate and approve disposition of the following library  books as submitted at the request of Lauren Conklin, Library Media Specialist and submitted by Elizabeth Sproul, Principal, as outdated and/or in poor condition beyond repair, therefore, unusable in accordance with Policy #5250 SUBJECT: Disposition of Surplus Property, and authorizes the disposition of the equipment submitted under the direction of Michael Pacella, Assistant Superintendent for Business.

 Recommend the Board of Education approve the Health & Welfare Services Contract for the 2019-2020 school year with the Somers Central School District at a per student cost of $ 1,188.11. The contract covers two (2) students who are Pine Bush residents attending a non-public school within the Somers CSD for a total contract cost of $ 2,376.22

 

4.              Approve/Authorize Funding – Terms & Conditions Central Administration (Civil Service)

Recommend the Board of Education approve and authorize the terms and funding for the Terms and Conditions of Employment Central Administration – Civil Service Employees noting the agreement covers a five-year period, July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2025.
