Art and Fabrication

This full-year course is for students interested in art and 3D printing! Students in this class will work directly with the equipment and develop the skills to operate, maintain and fix a Fused Deposition Modeling 3D printer. Students will use a number of 3D modeling programs to design and print their own works of art and design including 3D Slash, TinkerCAD, Onshape and SculptGL. Projects include working with a first-grade class to design and print toys, planning and printing a city, using prototypes to make slip cast ceramic vessels, and sculpting digital clay.

Prerequisite: Studio in Art or Media Arts 1
