On Thursday, Oct. 29, Pine Bush High School inducted 86 new members into the National Honor Society.
Students must achieve a cumulative average of at least 90.00%, complete 10 or more hours of community service, and demonstrate excellence in leadership and character in order to become inducted.
Students inducted into the Science National Honor Society were also recognized that evening by Dr. Michael Raucci. They must also have a cumulative grade point average of at least 90.00% and have a minimum of 3 credits in science. Their names will be displayed with an asterisk below.
As part of a yearly tradition, a staff member was recognized as an honorary member of the National Honor Society. This year’s recipient was Ms. Kelly Cooke. Congratulations to Ms. Cooke!
Superintendent Joseph Lenz gave his remarks during the ceremony. He shared a powerful message with our inductees to reach their highest potential, become strong leaders, and take ownership of their growth.
“To our inductees, as you move forward, remember that leadership does not always require a title,” said Mr. Lenz. “Sometimes, it means standing up for someone who needs support, welcoming someone who feels left out, or stepping forward when others are waiting for someone else to act. Service does not always require a grand gesture. Often, it is found in the small, everyday ways we make life better for others. And character is revealed not only in our greatest accomplishments, but in the choices we make and the example we set each day.”
Congratulations to our inductees for the 2026-2027 school year!
