About Crispell Middle School

The Crispell Middle School Mission

At Crispell Middle School, our mission is to pursue the true middle school concept in order to improve the degree of academic and personal success of all students.

Navigating the years at the middle school level can be challenging yet rewarding. Here at Crispell Middle School, students are exposed to a wide range of activities and clubs to help them begin to form their individual interests and strengths as they prepare for high school and the world beyond, whether it be the work force or college.

Crispell works on a team system which randomly sorts the specific grade student body into two groups: the Gold Team and the Blue Team. Each team features a group of faculty at all three grade levels that works together to coordinate student concerns, integrate lessons and share insights into individual students.

At Crispell Middle School, we offer many events such as the winter games. This is a building-wide event created to create global awareness as each homeroom researches the country it has adopted. There is a building-wide parade of countries represented in our games as well as a competition between homerooms in events such as volleyball, floor hockey, and tug-of-war.

The Middle School Advisory Program is another initiative that helps to build relationships within the building. Students gather with a faculty advisor every month for 20 minutes of discussion and planned activities. Each advisory is composed of students from all three grade levels to allow them to share their middle school experiences. The advisory period is also an opportunity to participate in anti-bullying activities as well as character building lessons.
