Congratulations to Ava and Emma Boffalo! These two young women signed their national letters of intent Thursday to attend and play soccer for Manhattan University – go Jaspers!

Athletic Director Jen Evans thanked Ava and Emma for all they’ve done for the community and our soccer program here in Pine Bush.
Their coach, Dan Conley, said how grateful he has been to watch both grow into the fine young women they are.

“Congratulations. This is a great day for you and for Pine Bush,” said Coach Conley. “We’ve watched you grow up and lead us to where we’ve been this year. We are going to miss you but your legacy is tremendous. We are very proud of you.”
Both Emma and Ava have played on the Pine Bush varsity soccer team since eighth grade and grew into true leaders on the team.
Emma played center back and served as captain in both 2024 and 2025. She was the quarterback of the defense, according to Coach Conley, leading this year’s team to eight shutouts.
Ava has led the team in points all five years she’s been on the varsity team. She led in goals in 2023, 2024 and 2025, and led in assists in 2021, 2023, 2024 and 2025. Ava finished her senior season with 31 goals and 17 assists.

The Ava/Emma combination led the team to three straight Section IX finals and the championship in 2024, the first since 2005.
Coach Conley said that both were excellent mentors and role models to the younger players on the team.
Emma and Ava were both named to the Section IX AAA All Star team in both 2024 and 2025, and to the Section IX All Section team this year.
Both Emma and Ava, whose parents Matt and Ann Marie Boffalo sat proudly watching their daughters sign, plan to major in education at Manhattan.
“We want you both to carry with you the pride of your community,” said Ms. Evans. “Remember, you’re always a part of the Pine Bush athletic family.”
