Nicole Bobby and her Interact Club at CVMS held a pet supply drive for Pets Alive in Middletown. They collected pet food, mops, trash bags, blankets, wipes, treats and toys for the animals being housed at the shelter for three weeks. Last week, they delivered!
Ms. Bobby and the students brought supplies that will certainly help the shelter for a while! Thank you to all the families that donated. While at the shelter, the students and Ms. Bobby got to visit with some of the animals and learn about pet care.
They fed the goats and learned some fun facts about them. They loved visiting the cat house and interacting with the three orange and white kittens who are waiting for their forever home. Then they met Lady, an older dog who came to Pets Alive not long ago. She is so friendly and loving.
The students learned how cats and dogs communicate with their body language – ears back, head down, tail up or moving. It was a fun visit, but informative too! Some of our students showed interest in volunteering at this wonderful shelter.
Thank you Pets Alive for sharing your knowledge about pets with our students and for all the good things you do for our homeless and displaced animals.
