EJR kindergarten student wins prize for extra learning over spring break

Congratulations to Yassin, a kindergarten student in Alicia Molon’s class at Edward J. Russell Elementary School who was chosen as a prize winner in the district’s “Imagine Your Future” contest through Imagine Learning.

A little boy wearing a plaid shirt stands holding a certificate. Three women are around him, one with a gray shirt and chin-length arker hair, one with a flowered shirt and blonde hair, the third with longer blonde wavy hair wearing a dark jacket, yellow shirt and white pants. There is a box in front with a picture of a keyboard on it. They all have masks on.

Yassin logged 121.5 minutes of learning with Imagine Learning over spring break, earning him 6,750 points for the prize drawing. He was thrilled to win the keyboard mat and said he couldn’t wait to play with it! (Think Big with Tom Hanks!) Fifty Pine Bush students participated. He is pictured above with his teachers, Kim Steele, English as a New Language, left, and Alicia Molon, and Principal Elizabeth Halsey Sproul.

A woman with long blonde hair holds a green folder and shows it to a little boy wearing a plaid shirt. In the bak is a woman with shoulder-length blonde hair leaning in talking to him.
