HOW DO I ENROLL MY CHILD IN THE PINE BUSH CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT?

Residency and immunization requirements must be met before enrollment can take place. The student's birth certificate, immunization records, and academic records should also be provided at the time of registration.

Grades 6 - 12
The central registrar’s office is located in the Pine Bush High School Guidance Office. The Central Registrar is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. To set up an appointment contact: Rose Testa at (845) 744-2031, ext. 3406. Residency and immunization requirements must be met before enrollment can take place. The student's birth certificate, social security cards, immunization records, and academic records should also be provided at the time of registration.


To verify residency, the parent/guardian must provide one of the following documents:

  • bank contract or mortgage agreement showing purchase of home, name, address, section, lot and block number or
  • signed lease or rent receipt with landlord’s name, address, telephone number, section, lot and block number
And one of the documents listed below, showing the parents’ name and address within the district:

  • most recent utility bills (phone, gas, electric) or deposit receipt for gas, electric, phone service start-up.
  • copy of state driver’s license or state picture ID card showing current district address (no temporaries). If address has been changed, this will not be accepted.
  • major moving company receipt or receipt from a local business showing delivery of furniture or a newly purchased major appliance;
  • currently active bank account checkbook with name and address imprinted (bank may be contacted to verify existing bank account).

Falsification of any information or documents required for this verification will result in revocation of registration for the student, and the parents/guardians and/or student can be subject to legal action for recovery of tuition.


Immunization Requirements:
Public Health Law, Article 21, Title VI, Section 2164 has mandated requirements in relation to the immunization of children. Any child entering school must show proof of compliance with this requirement as a prerequisite for admission in the Pine Bush Central School District. Children entering school must have the following immunizations:

  • three or more doses of oral polio
  • double dose of live measles vaccine
  • single dose of mumps vaccine
  • three or more doses of diptheria toxoid
  • single dose of live rubella vaccine
  • three doses of hepatitis B vaccine
  • single dose of varicella (chicken pox) vaccine or contracted disease documented by health care provider

Measles, mumps, and rubella vaccines must be given after your child's first birthday. If your child receives any boosters, the district should be notified.



Crispell Middle School serves those students who reside on Route 17K from the Army Base to Bullville and north of the residences on Route 17K out to Route 17 (Quickway) then east of Route 17 (Quickway) to the district border.

Circleville Middle School serves all the students residing south of Route 17K from the Army Base to Route 302 in Bullville, as well as those students who reside on Route 17K from Route 302 to Route 17 (Quickway) to the district border.

E. J. Russell Elementary School serves all students residing from Route 17K at the Army Base to Bullville. The boundary to the north includes students residing on Route 302 from Bullville and includes the entire hamlet of Pine Bush. The boundary runs west on Route 52 up to, and including, New Prospect Road. E. J. Russell Elementary School attendance area also includes the area north of Route 52 to the district border.

Pine Bush Elementary School serves students who live west of Route 302 and north of Route 17K, out to Route 17 (Quickway), then north and west of Route 17 (Quickway) to the district border, south of Route 52 to New Prospect Road. Pine Bush Elementary School will encompass Route 52 from New Prospect Road to the district border.

Pakanasink Elementary School serves students who reside on Fortune Road West to Industrial Drive to Tower Road to the district boundaries of Route 211 and Foster Road to Silverlake-Scotchtown Road to Connors Road. Students who qualify as walkers from the hamlet of Circleville will also be included in this attendance area.

Circleville Elementary School serves student in the area south of 17K to Bullville, following Route 17K in Bullville to Route 17 (Quickway) and then south and west of Route 17 (quickway) to the district border.

Pine Bush High School serves all grade 9 through grade 12 students living within the district’s boundaries.
